Individual Clinical Supervision For Washington State Associate Clinicians
Good supervision is hard to find. Not because approved supervisors are scarce, but because supervision that actually develops you as a clinician, that challenges you, supports you, and treats you like a professional in the making rather than a liability to manage, is rarer than it should be.
This is that kind of supervision.

What to Expect
Supervision with me is direct, relational, and grounded in genuine investment in your development. You will always know where you stand. I communicate clearly about expectations, observations, and feedback, not to shame you, but because clarity is a form of respect. Confusion and vagueness have no place in a good supervisory relationship.
I will hold you accountable and I will be your biggest fan. Those two things are not in conflict.
My approach to supervision is the same as my approach to therapy: relational, trauma-informed, and honest. We will look at your cases through a trauma lens, meaning we will always be asking what this person has lived through, what is happening in their nervous system, and what the relational dynamics in the room are telling us. You do not need to specialize in trauma to work with me. You do need to be curious, open, and willing to look at the whole person, including yourself.

Who I Am as a Supervisor
I am a trauma clinician first. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, inpatient settings, community mental health, and private practice. I have supervised clinicians at all levels and led clinical teams. I know what complex cases actually look like and I know how to help you think through them.
My style is warm, direct, and occasionally irreverent. I take the work seriously. I do not take myself too seriously. I genuinely want you to become an excellent clinician because the field desperately needs more people who understand complex PTSD and dissociative disorders, and because your clients deserve that.
I am anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-homophobic, and anti-transphobic. Supervisees from marginalized communities are welcome and valued here. You will be expected to bring those same commitments to your clinical work.

What We Focus On
Supervision is built around your cases, your questions, and your development as a clinician. We focus on case conceptualization, clinical decision-making, countertransference, and building an authentic clinical voice that is genuinely yours. I draw from EMDR, ego state and parts-based approaches, attachment theory, ACT, and psychodynamic frameworks, not as rigid techniques, but as tools for thinking more clearly about complex presentations.
