Samantha Gibb, LICSW

Clinical Director & Supervisor, Therapist

I’m Samantha Gibb, LICSW, Founder and Clinical Director of Shoreview Psychotherapy. I’m a trauma-focused therapist and clinical supervisor who believes healing happens best in relationship, with care that is grounded, flexible, and responsive to the real complexity of being a person.

I specialize in working with clients who have experienced complex trauma and dissociative disorders, including Dissociative Identity Disorder. I have also received specialized training in gender-affirming care and in working with the trans community. Though I do have special interests and specialties as a therapist, at my core I am a generalist and have extensive experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and religious trauma. I take an integrative approach that blends evidence-based therapy with intuitive and holistic practices when they meaningfully support healing.

Clinical Supervision Group Cohort starting March 5, 2026 - 1:1 Clinical Supervision spots available now

My Story

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Utah, with over a decade of experience in social work across medical, outpatient, and inpatient mental health settings. Prior to social work school, I began my career in the medical field, where I spent seven years navigating healthcare systems. That experience gave me a strong foundation in medical care, as well as a clear understanding of the limitations of the healthcare system and strictly traditional approaches to treatment. This background continues to inform my integrative, flexible style of care.

I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Utah. My clinical experience includes work in outpatient private practice, psychiatric hospital settings with individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, and leadership roles, including serving as Clinical Director for an inpatient psychiatric hospital in McCleary, Washington. I previously practiced with Corner Canyon Counseling in Utah and Sokya Health in Washington before founding Shoreview Psychotherapy.

My clinical work is trauma-focused and relational. I draw from EMDR, Ego State Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Clinical Hypnosis and other evidence-based approaches to support clients navigating trauma, dissociation, anxiety, depression, and identity-related concerns. I am also trained as a clinical hypnotherapist and a certified mindfulness-informed clinician. For clients who are interested, I integrate holistic and intuitive practices, including Reiki, in a grounded, client-centered way.

In addition to providing therapy, I offer clinical supervision and consultation for mental health professionals. I am a Washington State Approved Supervisor and provide supervision in both Washington and Utah. My supervision style is relational, collaborative, and anti-oppressive, with a focus on trauma-informed care, dissociation, identity-affirming practice, and supporting clinicians in developing confidence and authenticity in the therapy room.

At the core of my work is a commitment to care, both for clients seeking healing and for clinicians building their capacity to support others. I believe deeply in the impact of thoughtful, well-supported clinical work and the ripple effect it creates beyond any single therapy relationship.
