Individual, Relationship and Family Therapy

What is therapy like at Shoreview Psychotherapy?

Therapy at Shoreview Psychotherapy is offered within a trauma-informed, relational framework that prioritizes safety, collaboration, and respect for each person’s lived experience. Our clinicians work with adults navigating emotional distress, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and the impact of past experiences. Care is thoughtful, flexible, and responsive, with an emphasis on building a therapeutic relationship that supports meaningful and sustainable change.

What approaches do Shoreview clinicians use?

Clinical work at Shoreview draws from a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, Ego State Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other modalities. Rather than relying on rigid protocols, clinicians tailor treatment to each individual, taking into account personal history, current needs, and goals for therapy.

We value curiosity, honesty, and attunement, and approach the work with care, clinical integrity, and respect for complexity. Therapy is both an art and a science. When clinically appropriate and desired by the client, clinicians may integrate holistic and intuitive practices alongside traditional modalities to support healing in a grounded and intentional way.

Who provides therapy at Shoreview?

Shoreview Psychotherapy operates as a carefully supported clinical team and also serves as a training site for graduate clinicians. Therapy services may be provided by licensed clinicians or graduate clinical interns, depending on availability and fit. All clinical work is thoughtfully supervised to ensure ethical, high-quality care. Clients are encouraged to ask questions about the structure of care and are supported in making informed choices about their treatment.

Do you accept insurance or offer reduced-fee options?

Shoreview Psychotherapy accepts some insurance plans as in-network, including Regence, Premera, Kaiser, and Lifewise. Out-of-network billing support may be available for other insurance plans. Fees vary depending on the clinician and service provided. Sliding scale options may be available, and reduced-fee rates are offered when working with a graduate clinical intern.
